We aim to:
BYH has built up a strong reputation for its prevention work, usually with Year 11 students in schools throughout Broxtowe, Amber Valley and Erewash. We also deliver the session to young people in alternative education, youth offending groups, colleges etc.
Participants work in groups to explore scenarios based on the real-life experiences of young homeless people (including our peer educators). The stereotypes surrounding homelessness are challenged as participants consider the implications of becoming homeless, and the options available to homeless young people. The session is based on group discussion, often lead by a peer educator, with many opportunities for class feedback and questions.

Young people who participate in The Activity in Broxtowe are given a copy of On Your Feet! Magazine, and a Helpcard containing details of relevant services.
