In July 2008 BYH started work with our first group of peer educators - young people who have experienced homelessness themselves and share their experiences with students in schools and colleges as part of our preventative work.
Since then the project has gone from strength to strength, the comments we receive from students and teachers after every session tell us that the messages our peer educators give are powerful enough to stay with the young people that hear them - and will stop others feeling helpless or hopeless if they were ever to face a similar experience.
