Where can I get some furniture?

You only need the basics to get you started, but if you need more furniture to make your home comfortable, you can pick up real bargains at boot sales and charity shops. If you are on a low income and need basic household items, furniture schemes based at Broxtowe's Volunteer Bureaus may be able to help you out.

Furniture schemes collect unwanted household items such as furniture, bedding, curtains, crockery and pots and pans. This is delivered free of charge to people on a low income by trained volunteers. There are three bases in the borough:
