What if I don't agree with the Council's decision?

phone box

If you don't agree with the Housing Oficer's decision about whether you are homeless, whether your homelessness was intentional or whether you are eligible to be housed, you have the right to appeal.

You can ask for your case to be reviewed - speak to your individual case officer about the decisions made and the reasons for them. It is a good idea to get free independent advice from the Citizen's Advice Bureau, Shelter or Housing Aid. They will help you to understand the process and support you in making sure you are given appropriate help.
