A day in my life ...

"Before I left home life was rocky. When my mum got a new boyfriend everything went wrong and I got kicked out and left on the streets with nowhere to go. My scariest experience of being homeless was when I had to sleep on the streets before moving into the hostel. Life ain't as easy as some people make out when you live on your own. When I moved into the hostel I had to grow up really quickly and learn how to look after myself properly."

"I am ok with living in the hostel, it's my home and I'm not ashamed about it. Money is the main problem. When you're on benefits there isn't a lot of money to play about with. My day consists of getting up, getting ready, doing the cleaning, maybe going to the shops to do some shopping, then back home. I am mostly bored a lot of the time."
