Broxtowe Inter-Agency Homelessness Forum

Broxtowe Youth Homelessness co-ordinates the Broxtowe Inter-Agency Homelessness Forum, which is an independent body with a wide representation from both the voluntary and statutory sectors and other providers of services to young people in the Broxtowe borough.

The Forum aims to inform policy-makers on the needs of young homeless individuals and presses for effective and positive policies at local and national level. This is achieved by:

  • Improving Inter Agency communication through partnership working, sharing and disseminating both information and good practice
  • Identifying gaps in provision for young homeless or potentially homeless people aged 16-25
  • Identifying opportunities to undertake preventative work that may help reduce the risk of homelessness for young people or mitigate the worst effects of homelessness
