Broxtowe Youth Homelessness provides in-house training for teachers and other professionals working with young people. Contact us for more information about training.
The training aims to:
Homelessness Awareness Training for Teachers
Teachers are often the first port of call for young people seeking advice when things go wrong at home. Teacheres are often aware of young people potentially becoming homeless before other services are involved. With increasing numbers of young people becoming, or at risk of becoming homeless, it is vital that teachers are equipped to offer accurate advice and support.
Homelessness Awareness Training for Professionals Working with Young People
While you might not work directly in the homelessness sector, all professionals working with young people should be able to offer accurate and useful information when a young person is faced with homelessness. Our training ensures you are able to provide support and advice, and to make appropriate referrals to those agencies that can offer assistance, or even prevent homelessness.
